Cedric W. Johnson Retired Supervisory Special Agent Miami-Dade County Office Of The Inspector General (OIG)
Cedric W. Johnson, CIGI, is the sole authorized member of CW JOHNSON LLC, a licensed investigative/consulting agency.
Mr. Johnson retired from the OIG in April 2014 after over 30 years of investigative and management experience with State and County government investigative agencies.
In August 2000, Mr. Johnson was initially hired by the OIG as a special agent. In July 2006, Mr. Johnson was promoted to supervisory special agent where he remained through his April 2014 retirement.
Prior to joining the OIG, Mr. Johnson was the chief of the child/adult protective investigation units with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), an Investigations Manager with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Bureau of Investigative Services (DBPR), a Criminal Investigator with the Florida Office of the Comptroller for 11 years and a Senior Investigator with the Florida Office of the Auditor General.
As part of Mr. Johnson's duties in all positions, he personally conducted and participated in extensive investigations and/or supervised others in their investigations of financial fraud, bank fraud, waste, abuse and corruption. As a result of this experience, Mr. Johnson is familiar with the nature scope and operation of various financial frauds and corruption. Additionally, Mr. Johnson was an instructor for the Association of Inspectors General Certification Institute from 2005 through April 2014.
Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree from Florida International University (FIU) in December 1983.
